April 24 (noon - 8 pm), April 25 - 30 (8 am - 8pm) - Art Show and Silent Auction @cSpace King Edward Building in Marda Loop, Calgary


In celebration of World Art, UOCA invites you to visit an exhibition featuring talented artists from Calgary and Ukraine. You can also participate in silent auction and find something you admire among 70 pieces from eight artists, who work in different styles. The exhibition will run for a week, from April 24 to April 30. Meet & Greet - on April 29, 5 - 8 pm. Admission is FREE. All proceeds will go towards medical and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Please join a Charity Concert at St. Stephen's Anglican Church to listen to combined choirs and orchestra mass in G by Franz Schubert. Light appetizers and wine and silent action are also planned for the evening.


Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 6 p.m. - Canmore for Ukraine Charity Event @ Opera House, 400 Spring Creek Dr., Canmore 


Please join UOCA at our new Charity Event in Canmore. Come to enjoy light appetizers, live performance, silent and live actions. All proceeds will be used to support Ukrainian refugees settled in the Bow Valley and to continuous procurement of medical supplies to hospitals in Ukraine. 

FEBRUARY 2023

Saturday & Sunday, February 25 & 26, 2023 - EVERY CUP HELPS @ Cafe Gravity - Beltline, 1221 8th St SW

Cafe Gravity has supported the Ukrainian community in Calgary and our fundraising efforts through this tragic year of war. On Feb. 25-26, Cafe Gravity (Beltline location) will be donating all their coffee drink sales to UOCA to raise funds to provide the people of Ukraine with medical & humanitarian aid. The event will also feature live music and a silent auction that will run for the duration of the weekend.

Details: February 25, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with live music from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. February 26, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Friday, February 24, 2023, 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.  Candle-lit Vigil in Solidarity with Ukraine | 365 Days of Resistance | #StandWithUkraine! at Municipal Plaza, Calgary Downtown, 800 MacLeod Trail SE

Please join a candle-lit vigil  and march organized by the Ukrainian Canadian Congress - UCC Calgary in solidarity with Ukraine to commemorate a year since the russia started its aggression and to show your support to people of Ukraine who have been facing a year of bloody war on their territory.

Sunday, February 5, 2023, from noon to 1:00 p.m. - Protect Ukraine's Children | #StandWithUkraine! Rally & March for Ukraine at the Holodomor Monument in Calgary (intersection of Memorial Dr. & Edmonton Trail) 

Please join a rally and march organized by the Ukrainian Canadian Congress - UCC Calgary Branch to manifest your support to Ukraine and people of Ukraine. 

At 12:00 p.m. , the participants gather at Holodomor Monument and at approx. 12:30 p.m. the rally will cross the street to Flyover Park, where a temporary children's shoe installation is planned to be set up. Speeches and poems to be read. Please bring a pair (or more!) of children's shoes to add to the installation at Flyover Park. They will be returned at the end of the rally.

Calgary Police Services diversity team will do a presentation on Canadians’ rights, the law, and also their hate crimes team will give a short presentation on what to do if you see a hate crime or are a victim of own.

July 2022

On July 30th, the Ukrainian community members joined at Peace Bridge to commemorate the fallen warriors, who were killed while imprisoned by russian forces.


July 24th marked five months since russia embarked on its large scale attack of Ukrainian sovereign territory, further invading a a country already beset `by war and illegal annexation of Crimea since 2014. Numerous representatives of the Ukrainian community in Calgary as well as people from other communities, rallied together in support of Ukraine and to denounce the heinous terrorism of the russian state.
